Job Description

AECOM is hiring a Project Architect / Project Manager for our New York Metro Buildings + Places Educational Studio practice that has experience working on PreK-12 (NYC SCA), as well as other New York City public agencies projects.

Our expertise includes architecture, interiors, building engineering, workplace strategy, business transformation, asset advisory, economics and development planning, master planning, urban planning, and landscape architecture.

  • This position will collaborate with Senior Project Manager on a daily basis to manager our client’s project delivery - from initial design stages to the final project close-out, including kick-off meeting, scope reports, design documents, construction administration, and project close-out
  • Working with the Senior Project Manager and Studio Leader on project design, project schedule, work plan and project budget for an assigned project
  • Ensure that BCC / DOB / FDNY filing is streamlined and done in a timely manner.
  • Attend filing and QA/QC meetings
  • Manage various trades for specific project (mechanical, plumbing, electrical, structural, etc.) in-house or separate non-AECOM sub-consultants

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelor of Architecture plus four (4) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Professional experience using Revit in design capacity is required

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Masters of Architecture and six (6) years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Experience working on PreK-12 (NYC SCA) and other New York City public agencies projects
  • Licensed Architect a plus

Exempt Position: Offered rate of compensation (New York locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $90,000 - $100,000
