Corporate Internal Communications Intern

We are offering an exciting 10-week internship opportunity designed to provide students with hands-on experience and invaluable business insights. Interns will take on meaningful projects that apply a project management approach, allowing them to lead initiatives within various departments. Throughout the program, interns will also have access to exclusive networking events, mentorship opportunities, and lunch-and-learn sessions to enhance their professional development.

 

Program Duration:
Start Date: Monday, June 2, 2025
End Date: Friday, August 8, 2025
Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Hybrid setting: in-office on Tuesdays and Thursdays)

 

What you do:

  • Content creation: Assist in writing, editing, and proofreading internal communications content with a concentration on Connect (corporate intranet) and Viva Engage articles and features to engage employees and keep them informed.
  • Internal campaigns: Assist with the development and execution of internal communications campaigns to promote corporate values, new initiatives, or important updates.
  • Event support: When needed, assist with organizing and promoting internal events, such as all hands meetings, ticket management and volunteer events.
  • Research: Conduct research on best practices in internal communication, employee engagement and company culture to recommend new initiatives and improvements.
  • Cross-departmental collaboration: Work with various teams, including HR, marketing, and leadership, to ensure consistent messaging across all internal communication channels.
  • Reporting & Metrics: Track the effectiveness of communication efforts, monitor engagement metrics, and gather feedback to help refine strategies.

 

What you bring:

  • Must be a rising junior or senior pursuing a 4-year college degree.
  • Preferred majors: Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related disciplines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with AP (Associated Press) Style
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Familiarity with digital communication platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Creative thinking and ability to engage a diverse workforce.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • A proactive, enthusiastic team player with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Writing samples will be requested as part of the application.
