UI Software Engineer

Two Six Technologies builds products and tools that leverage open source intelligence, social media, and mobile platforms, enabling an information advantage in mission critical decision making. Two Six supports government policy makers, military operations, and Fortune 50 commercial customers.

We build unique data collection and delivery products that allow our users to operate effectively in the information environment. We solve hard problems related to data science, scalability, security, and reliability. We use JavaScript, React, Python, Elastic, and deploy our solutions on a Kubernetes infrastructure. 

Our software engineering team is fully remote and distributed. We are looking for someone who shares our passion for using technology to solve hard problems.

What you will do:

• Development of innovative, engaging, and effective UI/UX features that help our customers solve complex problems
• Operating in a collaborative, agile environment, with a focus on taking action and working closely with peers to enable team success
• Creating proofs-of-concept and prototypes to quickly test ideas, as well as designing and building scalable, production-ready solutions
• Considering security best practices at every phase of software development
• Continuously learning and improving
• Working within Scrum and Agile methodologies and being an active part of our continuous improvement efforts
• Working in a fully remote team with a diverse set of skills and experiences
• Solving problems and questioning assumptions
• Reviewing code and performing manual and automated testing

What you will need:

• Experience with the design, development, testing, and support of a scalable JavaScript application deployed to production
• Experience building UI solutions using JavaScript and TypeScript
• Experience with React, Next.js, or similar libraries  
• Experience working independently and as a part of an agile team 
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field

UI Technologies we use:

• Deep understanding of pay per click, paid social, and programmatic advertising.
• Prior experience in a marketing/media agency setting.
• Understanding of the US Government's advertising requirements and landscape.

Clearance/Citizenship:

• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance

Location:

• 100% Remote
