We are looking for:
The Maintenance Mechanical Supervisor will be responsible for the supervision of the personnel within the Piedmont Maintenance shop in a manner that will safely achieve operational objectives of the organization.
We count on you for:
- Supervise maintenance personnel responsible for executing the prepared maintenance schedule. Conduct daily work progress checks and performance assessments.
- Enforce department compliance with all facility safety, health, process safety, and environmental procedures.
- Ensure that all maintenance related tasks are completed correctly and in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all maintenance functions are properly coordinated with the affected area(s) of the site.
- Coordinate break-in work with shift mechanics and Gatekeepers. Complete planning, scheduling, and execution necessary for emergency work that must be completed within the week (P0/P1) by the day shift mechanics.
- Manage the area maintenance process to achieve targeted production needs in a cost effective manner. This includes:
- Daily routine maintenance
- Daily schedule update meetings with maintenance and operations
- Preventative maintenance / reliability programs for equipment assets
- Non-routine items that are large expenditures or that are implemented infrequently
- Overhaul and turnarounds of process units
- Expense modification projects
- Utilization of SAP data to promote long term efficiencies
- Provide leadership to the Maintenance team by:
- Setting the expectations and priorities for the area maintenance team
- Assessing craft skills / capabilities and identifying / arranging training
- Promoting employee engagement, teamwork, and innovation
- Leading and developing skills & competencies of hourly personnel
- Partnering with production to improve on-stream time and unit / asset reliability
- Review and approve repaired equipment for return to service
- Evaluate job plans against field performance in order to communicate improvement opportunities with work packages, task lists, planned resources, etc.
- Execute safe and efficient plant maintenance turnarounds.
- Encourage good housekeeping practices in the shops and throughout the facility
You will bring:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent (Associate or Bachelor Degree a plus)
- Five years or more of industrial maintenance experience (chemical/refinery and/or PSM experience preferred)
- Two years or more of supervisory experience preferred
- Proficient in SAP PM/MM modules or other Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Experience in work management, preventive maintenance, asset life cycle management, key performance indicators, process optimization, and performance management
- Highly motivated to achieve timely and efficient completion of plant projects and key maintenance activities.
- Ability to adapt to changing plant, project, or financial priorities.
- Ability to develop key relationships with internal customers and service providers.
- Demonstrated effective oral, written, interpersonal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and to work with others in a team environment.

- The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $80,560 to $100,700 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
