Our work depends on a Senior Power Engineer Lead joining our team to support the Program Executive Office for Integrated Warfare Systems (PEO IWS) activities.

As a Senior Power Engineer Lead supporting PEO IWS, you will be trusted to bring together a multi-disciplinary team that is geographically dispersed to provide engineering planning, design, integration, installation, and test of Aegis Combat Systems (ACS) onboard ships post-construction and during maintenance availabilities. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the Aegis Command Decision (C&D) and Aegis Display System (ADS) are operational and available.
Specific responsibilities include:
Manage and Power Engineering assignments.
Act as primary point of contact for Power Engineering installations.
Review GFI or CFI provided by the alteration sponsor/PARM and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for the necessary electrical power interface.
Oversee technical aspects of power system hardware by reviewing documentation such as electrical and mechanical schematics, test plans and data packages.
Support system-level testing events performed in both laboratory and relevant environments.
Lead interfaces with equipment In-Service Engineering Agencies (ISEA), Combat Systems Engineering Agents (CSEA) and Software Support Activities (SSA) as required.
Experience with Matlab, Labview, NFPA 70E; and Perform site surveys and ship checks prior to installation activities and repair of combat and weapon systems and associated equipment including but not limited to electronic cabinets and consoles, power systems, cables, grounding systems, communication systems, and fiber optic networks.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
A Bachelor of Arts or Science (BA/BS) in the relevant field and 10+ years of experience in command and control engineering or related experience (or 15+ years of experience without a degree).
A US DoD Secret security clearance is required.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of the larger GDIT Navy and Marine Corps Sector.
U.S. Citizenship is required.
