About the role
Here’s what you’ll be doing:
- Provide exemplary customer service that demonstrates our mission of always delivering high quality care
- Maintain the quality, security, and efficiency of services by following pharmacy policies and procedures
- Process prescriptions and ensure all information is complete and accurate
- Obtain necessary prior authorizations and resolve insurance issues
- Prepare and package medications for assisted living facility and at home medication adherence patients
- Responsible for assisting with maintaining inventory management for 3 accounts, including ordering receiving, and storing pharmaceutical supplies in compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Assist with filling and maintaining automated dispensing machine
- Assists with checking and returning outdated stock
- Takes ongoing ownership for quality and organization for one area of the pharmacy department as directed by manager
What you’ll need to be successful:
- Pharmacy Technician certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Health Career Association (NHA) upon hire or within 6 months of hire.
- Must be registered in the State of Wisconsin as a Pharmacy Technician.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED and be at least 18 years old
- Must successfully pass all applicable background checks and drug screens
- Ability to mathematically compute and convert drug concentrations and doses
- Knowledge of pharmacy law, medications and medical terminology required
- Must be familiar with using computers, preferably Microsoft Office Suite
- Maintains strict confidentiality. Understands HIPAA regulations
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under the Tribe’s Insurance
- (Health Only) FCP complies with all CDC vaccine and testing recommendations for healthcare professionals. Proof of immunizations is required, and immunizations/testing provided upon hire.
