Certified Performance Coach

As part of the sports medicine team, the Certified Mental Performance Coach will work both in our clinic and in local schools and universities, providing psychological support to athletes and professionals. This role requires a deep understanding of sports and performance psychology, enhancing performance, and promoting overall well-being through psychological strategies and techniques.

Schedule:

• Full-time | 80 hours every two weeks | St. Cloud
• Days | 8am-4:30pm with some evenings

Pay and Benefits:

• Starting pay begins at $87,208.98 per year; exact wage determined by years of related experience

• Salary range:  $87,208.98 - $130,890.14 per year

  • Salary and salary range are based on a 1.0 FTE, reduced FTE will result in a prorated offer rate

Qualifications: 

• Master’s degree in psychology or another behavioral science or related fields with specialization in Sports Psychology, or doctorate degree in psychology with a specialization in Sports Psychology
• Experience working with athletes and professionals in a clinical or educational setting
• Certified Mental Performance Consultant required within 6 months of hire
• Clinical licensure and/or certification (i.e. LPC, LPCC, LMHC, LCSW, LCPC, LMFT)
• A valid MN driver’s license in good standing and the minimum required liability insurance requirements
• Strong understanding of psychological principles related to sports and performance
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
• Experience working with elite or professional athletes preferred
• Knowledge of mindfulness, relaxation techniques, or cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) preferred
• Experience in conducting workshops or training sessions preferred
