Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant II

Under indirect supervision of an Occupational Therapist, assists patients in reaching optimal level of function, performs re-evaluation components under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist as per MD licensing guidelines, treats patients using appropriate therapeutic interventions and participates in team and interdisciplinary meetings, demonstrates competency in treating multiple patient populations within the acute care setting.

Education:
AA Degree from an Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Licensure:
• Current Maryland license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Healthcare Provider (CPR Certification).
Experience:
At least 1 year experience, acute care experience preferred
Skills:
• Knowledge of Occupational Therapy theories, practices, and standards
• Skill in oral and written communication
• Ability to develop treatment plans and monitor patient progress
• Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills
• Ability to set priorities and schedule patients utilizing time efficiently
• Skill in organization
• Ability to demonstrate proficiency in the use of standardized tests to support documentation
• Ability to manage an average caseload per productivity standard set
• Ability to be proficient in treating at least 2 high risk patient populations
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn EMR navigation

• Employee has knowledge and understanding of patient and workforce safety as it relates to job duties. 

Patient Population: 

• Demonstrates competency in the delivery of care and applies the knowledge to meet age-specific needs if applicable. 

Pay Range

$23.53 - $38.57

Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
