JOB TITLE: Central Diet Office Assistant
DEPARTMENT: Centralized Diet Office
LOCATION: Riedman Campus
HOURS PER WEEK: Per Diem - As Needed
SCHEDULE: 4 hours per shift between the hours of 5:00AM - 7:30PM
SUMMARY
The Central Diet Office Assistant supports food service operations at designated RRH hospitals and long-term care centers by ensuring accuracy of patient diet orders. patient menus, delivering timely reports, timeliness of meal delivery and providing exceptional customer services to all callers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Acts as a Liaison between Food Services and all other departments with respect to patient meals and diets.
Delivery of meals and nourishments according to established patient identifications policies and procedures.
Assist with all activities relate to meal services.
Knowledge of fluid restrictions, tube feedings, diet orders and standards of restricted diets.
Ability to transfer medical record information into menu software to ensure diet, allergies and modifiers are processed accurately.
Communicates patient needs and concerns with patients, families, and clinical staff.
maintain a positive representation of Food and Nutrition Services through professionalism and hygiene.
Answer all incoming calls to the nutrition office.
Maintain the highest level of customer service as outlined by department and RRH Standards.
Generate reports, tallies, calorie counts, nourishment labels, tray tickets, etc. and process information within established time frames.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Graduate or equivalent
Basic computer experience
Excellent customer service skills
Must be available to work between the hours of 5:00am and 7:30pm.
Must be available to work rotating weekends and holidays as needed.

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements.

14617The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
