Job Description Summary

This role is responsible for working with the team to complete all daily responsibilities for the Manufacturing Support Team, as well as providing assistance with oversight of all APH/Pack related activities to ensure high performance and scheduled delivery.

Location: This position is located in Morris Plains, NJ

Major Accountabilities:

Oversight & Subject Matter Expert Activities:

• Daily scheduling of personnel, delegation of responsibilities in APH/Pack and shift set-up activities 
• Assist with facilitation of the daily tier meetings and delivery of shift report communications
• Train and coach associates to ensure they have the necessary technical skills and knowledge for the area as well as adherence to Novartis Values & Behaviors. Escalate performance issues with Supervisor.
• Proficient in the use of production related IT systems such as SAP, LIMS, MES and support real time system troubleshooting
• Ensure all data entries are accurate (ex: logbooks, EBR, MBR)
• Escalate process issues and assist with real time triage
• Manage and maintain inventory accuracy
• Communicate changes, QA feedback, system issues, to the team effectively
• Work interdepartmentally to support non-routine steps, such as testing, CMO, and stability
• Integrate and harmonize best practices within your areas of expertise
• Enforcement of best-in-class cGMP, cGLP, and aseptic behaviors

• Support and initiate deviation investigations that involve your work environment 
• Accountable for maintaining an audit ready work environment
• Responsible for supporting facilities and equipment commissioning activities
• Authoring and/or reviewing documentation (e.g. Standard Operating Procedures) that pertains to Dispensary related activities

Key Performance Indicators:

• EBR right first time
• Cycle Count Inventories are accurate
• 98% training compliance of all associates
• No major or critical audit findings

Ideal Background:

Education:   High School Degree or GED equivalent. Associate’s degree preferred.         

Languages:   Fluent in speaking / writing in English                                                     

Experience:                                                                                               

• 3-5 years of related experience in cGMP/FDA regulated industry.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.  Strong Leadership Skillset.
• SAP/MES knowledge

Other Qualifications:   

• Strong interpersonal, written and communication skills along with problem solving and follow-up skills are required  
• Train the Trainer Certification 
• Must be well organized, flexible and work with minimal supervision
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Alternate shifts, weekends and overtime will be required
• Requires handling of chemicals such as corrosives, solvents, and biohazardous materials

Novartis Compensation and Benefit Summary

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $63,600 and $118,200/year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/25 through 12/31/25, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
