Job Summary: The Maintenance Supervisor will possess the qualities necessary to supervise and motivate technical employees; including but not limited to a proven commitment to environmental, health and safety, strong communication, problem solving, interpersonal and organization skills.

   

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 2 years of Basic Computer skills 

 

Preferred skills/qualifications

• Manufacturing experience preferred
• Knowledge of safety requirements withing a manufacturing setting

Competencies:

• Must have ability to communicate (both written & verbal)
• Work well with all employees at all levels, willingness to learn new processes and work with limited supervision
• Must have a positive attitude and friendly personality
• Must be able to perform several tasks simultaneously
• Ability to function successfully in a fast-paced, changing work environment

 

Job Responsibilities:

• Reviews job orders to determine work priorities

Schedules repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment to ensure continuous production operations

• Coordinates activities of workers fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment to manufacture new products or improve existing products
• Directs maintenance activities on utility systems to provide continuous supply of heat, steam, electric power, gas, or air required for operations
• Develops preventive maintenance program in conjunction with engineering and maintenance staff
• Requisitions tools, equipment, and supplies required for operation
• Participates in the direction of training and indoctrination of workers to improve work performance and acquaint workers with company policies and procedures
• Confers with management, engineering and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance problems and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment
• Complies and enforces all company safety policies
• Confers with the department manager and plant engineer to administer the Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Program
• Serves as liaison between management and employees
• Support and maintain the established Hydro Quality Management System
