Role
We are looking for a Principal Product Manager to join our Product Management team. This is a hybrid role based in San Jose, CA, reporting to the Director, Product Management.
In this role, you will own one or more product areas and lead the solution design for the Zscaler platform. You must possess a blend of business and technical skills, having a big-picture vision and the drive to make that vision a reality with extreme attention to detail. This role consists of both inbound Product Management responsibilities—working with internal cross-functional teams to build and enhance products—as well as outbound responsibilities, interacting with customers, executing go-to-market strategy, and supporting sales.
What you’ll do (Role Expectations)
- Define and drive the unified user experience for internet access, SaaS, Private Apps, AI applications security while transforming platform capabilities to provide best-in-class experiences
- Lead technical discussions with customers and engineering stakeholders, author product requirement documents (PRDs), and drive Jira story planning
- Work closely with engineering, marketing, and customer success teams to bring products to market and ensure their success
- Act as the internal subject matter expert, providing training and support to sales and other teams
- Directly engage with customers to understand their challenges, gather product feedback, and identify new opportunities

What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
- 7-10 years of experience in product management, with a significant focus on building SaaS platforms at scale and cybersecurity
- Prior experience in building SaaS platforms, security, and user experience design
- Deep understanding of Proxy Architecture, HTTP, DNS, SSL, Malware Detection, IPS, Advanced Threat Protection, Sandboxing, and endpoint security
- Prior hands-on inbound product management experience, preferably at top industry security or networking vendors
