Job Description

Role: Technical Product Manager (Retail domain-Buying and Selling Goods)

Location: Chicago, IL (Remote)

Job Description: 

What are the essential requirements?

• Bachelor's Degree
• Direct technology experience in a digital environment in a relevant capacity
• 6+ years overall relevant experience
• 3+ years Digital experience
• 2+ years in product management
• 2+ years working in an Agile development environment and managing iteration-level deliverables
• Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team
• Ability to manage multiple projects in various phases of ideation, execution, or delivery
• Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
• Experience with agile development
• Data driven mindset and track record

Product people with a technical background

This goes from a bonus to a requirement.  Our stack is sufficiently complex, and our documentation sufficiently light, where having someone who has been a software engineer as part of their career journey is essential.  Building the trust and credibility of the product function in such a technical set of work needs this so the TPM

In our environment, we need individuals who assume ownership over the area and are proactive in connecting with their partners and understanding the area.  We have seen some passivity in that area.  Some of that we will help resolve with better onboarding and direction.  But a self-starting personality will be very helpful in being successful.
