Maintenance and Transportation Technician

Wage: $25.13/hr DOE + DOQShift: 8:00am-4:30pm Monday - Friday

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED strongly preferred but not required.  
• Two years of property/maintenance management; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience required. 
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and construction.  
• Must have valid Oregon Driver's license; must have been a licensed driver for at least 2 years; must have a driving record that permits coverage under C@P’s company insurance. 

Essential Job Duties Include (But Not Limited To):

• 
  
Time Management: 
• Responds to emergent facility maintenance issues 
Mechanical Aptitude 
• Supports day to day maintenance and transportation needs 
• Replace or repair electrical outlets, switches, smoke detectors, etc. 
• Replace or repair toilets, sinks, etc. 
• Ensure the C@P vehicles are being maintained and regularly services.  
Problem Solving 
• Provide support for the building of new shelter structure and facilities. 
• Ensure shelter sites are being supported by the transportation team in their needs including: laundry, food share, supplies, guest transportation, etc. 
Guest and Co-Worker Interaction 
• Provide support and back up to Driver and transportation needs. 
• Provide support and transportation of C@P trailers as sites have needs. 
• Provide support and back up to Restoration Technician needs. May be exposed to harmful and hazardous material with appropriate training & PPE. 

Work environment: Close quarters with vulnerable people including individuals without stable living situations who may be struggling with mental health and substance use concerns.  Move up to 70 pounds often, by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise repositioning objects. Stand and walk for extended periods of time. Lifting, squatting, crawling and crouching is required.    Be exposed to various inside and outside working conditions: The change of environment such as with or without air conditioning and heating.
