As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer at Diebold Nixdorf, you would support the assembly of DN’s products.  The Senior Manufacturing Engineering would lead projects in the factory to drive improvements to cost and quality.  You would work with other members of the Operations Team including Production, Warehouse, Quality, Materials, and Inventory. Candidates would work in a manufacturing environment.  

  • Define and support assembly process across multiple product lines and process types including tool and equipment use.  
  • Design work stations and production cell layouts within plant to ensure production efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Design sequence of operations and create assembly instructions for DN’s products.
  • Ensure line and process balance for assigned production areas.  
  • Lead continuous improvement projects in the factory to improve cost and quality.  
  • Troubleshoots, investigate and resolve issues related to materials, production processes, and quality.  
  • Collaborates with team members across plant engineering, quality, and R&D to evaluate and solve production issues.  
  • Review and implement engineering changes on assigned product lines.  

Required Qualifications

  • Diploma (BA / BS in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering) or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in Manufacturing/industrial Engineering.
  • Good business English skills (Written and spoken)
  • Work environment is that of a typical manufacturing operation.  A successful candidate will need to be able to stand, walk, kneel or sit at a desk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, twist, stretch, push, pull, carry and lift up to 50lbs. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Oracle, SAP or an equivalent ERP system
  • Experience applying lean Manufactuing concepts in a production environment
