POSITION SUMMARY

A Paint Technician 2 role consists of any activity associated with troubleshooting equipment problems safely, quickly and efficiently. The technician will need to understand and operate all paint equipment. This includes new profile introductions, performing AMs & PMs on schedule. Auditing Painters and system. Creating, documenting, and auditing new standards. Understand and measure paint quality including resistivity and viscosity. Training of Technician1.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES


  • Able to complete all responsibilities of Tech I position proficiently.
  • Able to assess a situation and determine if an issue is machine related or process related and take corrective action.
  • Provide first level troubleshooting assistance to paint line operators during down time events.
  • Responsible for rebuilding critical worn equipment (spray applicators, regulators, flow meter & etc.).
  • Complete PMs, make minor equipment adjustments, and minor repairs.
  • Advanced knowledge of product, processes, and quality
  • Use critical thinking to troubleshoot and solve problems related to quality and equipment operation.
  • Work with the supervisors, leads, engineering, and maintenance to resolve complex issues.
  • Participate in and support projects that are driven by business initiatives.
  • Provide training, instruction, and guidance to production associates & Paint Tech I.
  • Audit Painters and operators.
