Purpose

Professional administrative assistant duties.

Responsibilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, and related products is essential. Process and distribute incoming mail. Assist with miscellaneous duties for the upcoming 3-day annual system-wide conference at AT&T, June 11-13, 2025. Provide customer service by answering phones and forwarding callers to the appropriate team member. Manage Microsoft Teams calendar and schedule meetings using MS Outlook. Operate reproduction copy equipment and scanner (training provided). Answer callers, forward them to the appropriate team, or take messages.

  • Experience working for a UT System Campus or in other professional office settings is preferred. Experience with health and related insurance is a plus. The Office of Employee Benefits contracts and administers health and medical insurance plans and optional retirement programs for over 300,000 University of Texas System employees, retirees, surviving spouses, and dependents. We are a team of 38 staff members managing a comprehensive insurance company for the University of Texas System's 15 academic and health institutions.

Required Qualifications

High school graduation or GED. Three years of clerical experience. At least 3 years of customer service experience with Microsoft Teams calendar meetings and Outlook. Reproduction copy equipment and the use of a scanner. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Regular and punctual attendance is a must.

Preferred Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED, at least 3 years of customer service experience with Microsoft Teams calendar meetings and Outlook. Reproduction copy equipment and the use of a scanner.  Experience working for a UT System Campus or in other professional office settings is preferred. Experience with health and related insurance is a plus.

Hourly Rate

$22.00

Working Conditions

  • Attire: Business casual

  • Jeans with a nice business casual shirt on Fridays or on other days when we are working with packing boxes for a conference, etc.

Work Shift

  • Hours per week - 40

  • Work hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

  • Monday through Friday and during December/January, while a Skeleton Workforce is Required.
