Maintenance Buyer/Planner Technician

CA Lawton in De Pere WI is looking for a Maintenance Buyer/Planner Technician for our foundry!

The Maintenance Buyer/Planner is responsible for coordinating maintenance planning, purchasing, and inventory control to support plant reliability and efficiency. This role involves managing vendor relationships, ensuring the timely availability of critical parts and tools, and optimizing maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and costs.

Must have previous experience in a heavy industrial maintenance buyer/planner role.
 

• Purchasing & Procurement: Source and purchase necessary parts, tools, and services.
• Vendor Management: Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Inventory Control: Maintain optimal stock levels for critical spare parts while reducing excess inventory.
• Planning & Scheduling: Develop and manage maintenance activity schedules, ensuring technicians have required parts and resources.
• Data Analysis: Analyze repair data, maintenance metrics, and trends to improve processes and reduce costs.
• Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between maintenance and production teams to align maintenance activities with production goals.

• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Proficiency in inventory and supply chain management
• Experience with management software and CMMS systems
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong analytical and organizational abilities
• Must have previous experience in a heavy industrial maintenance buyer/planner role.

• Education: Industrial Maintenance degree preferred
• Experience: 3–5 years of related experience required
• Heavy Industrial Experience: Must have previous experience in a heavy industrial maintenance buyer/planner role
• Certifications & Licenses: Journeyman’s License preferred

• Hours: 7:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. (8-hour shifts with overtime as needed; flexible with hours)
• Salary: $76,000 – $78,000 annually
