As a Speech Pathologist, you will have the rewarding opportunity to provide care to patients within various Cleveland Clinic locations from Stow Falls to Middleburg heights. In this role, you will perform diagnostic speech pathology test procedures and evaluate communication and swallowing function of patients (from birth to 21 years or older). This includes interpreting and reporting test results to facilitate medical diagnosis, providing counseling and education about communication and the diagnosis to patients and their families, and determining therapeutic plans, including the need for therapy, frequency of treatment, focus for intervention, prognosis and duration of therapy.  

 

A caregiver in this position works full time houts| 7:00am - 6:30pm| some
evenings and weekends required| Position will be based out of Stow (Wed and Fri) and will also have a regularly scheduled day at our Middleburg Heights location. Two days per week the therapist will float to any CCHR Children's Therapy Services location, including Stow, Beachwood, Medina, Cleveland, Middleburg Heights, and Westlake.

• Provide clinical services to patients.  

• Perform diagnostic speech pathology test procedures.  

• Evaluate communication and swallowing function of patients.  

• Interpret and report test results to facilitate medical diagnosis.  

• Provide counseling and education about communication and the diagnosis to patients and families.  

• Determine therapeutic plans, including the need for therapy, frequency of treatment, focus for intervention, prognosis and duration of therapy.  

• Select assistive speech devices to improve the patient’s communication.  

• Perform re-evaluation to determine progress after therapy.  

• Provide observations about hearing and other behaviors to help determine the need for other services.  

• Maintain records of all services.
