FOOD SERVICE WORKER (CASHIER)

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Qualifying Experience: Be able to follow simple oral instructions, be able to use hand tools for cleaning, and operate simple machines. Be skilled in doing tasks with several steps and must use judgement in sequencing tasks. Have knowledge of sanitation standards in handling and serving food, and for cleaning equipment and work area. Experience in the operation of a cash register direct, handling of cash items, and cash accountability is desirable. Have the ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Possess skill in dealing with the public. Be physically able to frequently lift or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds. Be able to continuously stand and walk, and frequently stoop, reach, push, pull and bend for long periods of time. Be able to obtain a Food Handler's Certificate and/or complete food handlers training. Successfully complete a pre-employment physical. Successfully complete a National Agency Check (NAC).
