Blackpoint Cyber, a dynamic and innovative cybersecurity firm, is seeking an experienced Principal Front-end Engineer to join our Product Engineering organization. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, remote environment. As a seasoned technical leader, you will be responsible for owning, architecting, and implementing the evolution of our architecture, user interface, and user experience. This candidate should be truly excited about building great products and “winning the unfair fight” in Cyber.

Who You Are:

As a Principal Front-end Engineer at Blackpoint Cyber, you will:

• Understand the importance of intentional communication, working closely with the leadership team to define solutions to high-level engineering objectives while providing clear and concise updates.

• Lead and drive projects that span our stack, including Node.js services hosted in Kubernetes and a UI written in Typescript and React.

• Leverage your deep understanding of modern web application design and architecture, combined with best practices in API design patterns. Your experience in optimizing for performance and scale will pave the way for other engineers to effectively contribute to the platform.

• Excel as a team player by recognizing the importance of diverse perspectives and managing expectations and needs across numerous cross-functional groups. This includes mentoring other engineers and guiding them in complex, multi-person projects.

What You’ll Bring:

• 12+ years of proven experience in building large-scale systems that handle sensitive, personal data.

• Strong computer science fundamentals and full stack application experience. You build resilient platforms that stand the test of time.

• High standards and a track record of delivering world-class software to production. You understand how to balance functionality with

• delivery speed.

• Experience as a key technical decision-maker, using your excellent verbal and written communication skills to influence technical

• strategy within and across teams.

• A passion for great design and building products that provide an excellent user experience.

• Advanced knowledge of frontend technologies, including React, Typescript, GraphQL, and Next.js.

• Experience in building reusable and shareable UI components using React.js.

• Significant experience with automated testing frameworks like Jest, Cypress, and Playwright.

• The ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.

• Exceptional problem-solving and communication skills.
