Position Purpose:

This position is responsible for ensuring a provider-centric experience for medical staff practitioners applying to and on staff at multiple hospitals across the Trinity Health Michigan region. From onboarding and throughout the practitioner’s lifecycle with THMI, this role is integral to an efficient, coordinated, and consistent experience with medical staff processes to ensure high quality patient care, hospital compliance with regulatory requirements, increased provider satisfaction and engagement, and promote the efficient use of resources in a highly matrixed environment.  

This role ensures effective Medical Staff programming for practitioners in assigned specialty areas across multiple Trinity Health Michigan hospitals. Programs including onboarding, credentialing, privileging, competency assessment, peer review, ongoing education, and database management/reporting. This position serves as a liaison for administrative leaders, and other organizational and external stakeholders, including recruitment, marketing, and the TH Center for Practitioner Information (CPI), to ensure alignment with target start dates in accordance with regulatory and hospital requirements to meet patient access needs. This role also ensures the integrity of information and downstream data entry touchpoints through audits to ensure the accuracy and completeness of credentialing, privileging and database information relied upon by medical staff leaders, committees, and the governing body
