SUMMARY
Bering Straits Professional Services (BSPS). a company within the BSNC family, is currently seeking a qualified Administrative Assistant for employment at DLA Weapons Support (Richmond, VA). This individual will assist the Equal Employment Opportunity Directorate by providing operational, project support services, administrative, planning, and evaluative work which facilitates the day-to-day operations of the command Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.
· Must be able to independently complete assignments and assist with other duties, as assigned, to provide services to civilian employees in a wide variety of professional, administrative, and clerical while providing management support to a variety of special projects efforts.
· Must be able to effectively use customer service skills and provide status updates to employees.
· Provide support reviewing and updating policies, processes and procedures.
· Will be responsible for carrying out necessary tasks associated with day-to-day activities involving records management and file/record keeping.
· Must be capable of monitoring suspense dates and deliverables, review finished work for technical soundness, appropriateness, and conformity to policy and requirements.
· Attend in-person and Microsoft Teams meetings to discuss policies and procedures affecting employees.
· Must be proficient working in an MS Windows environment and in the use of standard computer software such as, but not limited to, MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint).
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications
· Extensive experience in Microsoft Office programs (with particular focus on Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
· Extensive experience in tracking and analysis of information and monitoring suspenses and deliverables.
· Complete any required training to meet agency requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics
· Experience and proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Teams.
Preferred
· Significant customer service/personnel interaction skills.
· Possess excellent problem-solving skills and working with large numbers of people in a fast-paced information centric environment. Be able to adapt to emergent policy changes and the challenges associated with workplace accommodations for employees.
· Must be capable of generating routine reports and meeting deadlines for assigned deliverables.
· This individual should be readily available to meet the demanding needs and flexing schedules of Senior Executive Staff.
