The teaching assistant will be responsible for conducting weekly 3-hour lab sessions from11:35 am to 2:25 pm on Fridays and for grading students' lab assignments.
- Experience in spatial analysis, including the following areas:
- Thematic mapping
- Areally weighted interpolation
- Geometric operations, including re-projection, casting, and feature manipulation
- Cluster and hotspot detection and analysis
- Network analysis
- Transport routing and cost surfaces
- Spatial statistics and regression
- Knowledge of and experience with the application of GIS to urban planning research and policy
- Experience with a variety of GIS platforms, including some of QGIS, R, Python, and ArcGIS
