Computer Science Research Manager, Meta Super Intelligence Labs

Meta is seeking a versatile and experienced computer science research manager to join our wide-ranging research and development teams that drive innovation across various cutting-edge technologies and applications. This role is critical to shaping and ensuring Meta's position as a leader in the tech industry.Computer Science Research Manager, Meta Super Intelligence Labs Responsibilities

• Be hands-on supporting and leading teams of software engineers and research scientists
• Develop technical vision, long-term strategy and set direction for the team and the organization
• Communicate, collaborate, and build relationships with customers and peer teams to facilitate cross-functional projects
• Remain up-to-date on ongoing software development activities within the team, help work through technical challenges, and be involved in design decisions

Minimum Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience or PhD and 4+ years of experience in a related industry research and development setting
• 2+ years of direct management experience, managing researchers and/or engineers
• Experience with cross functional collaboration with product and infrastructure teams, as well as non-engineering functions
• Demonstrated experience recruiting, building, structuring, and leading technical organizations, including performance management

Preferred Qualifications

• PhD in the field of computer vision, robotics, machine learning or equivalent
• Background in generative-ai, 3D computer vision, video and image generation
• Experience designing machine learning algorithms, including experience creating software for data loading, training, and inference of novel ML architectures
• Experience with cross functional collaboration with product and platform teams, as well as non-engineering functions
• Demonstrated experience recruiting, building, structuring, leading technical organizations, including performance management
• Publication in reputable conferences like CVPR, Neurips, ICML

$177,000/year to $251,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
