Position Summary:
The Department of Dermatology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center – a National Comprehensive Cancer Network designated academic medical center – is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible dermatologist with clinical expertise in the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of pigmented lesions and melanoma. This is a full-time academic position with responsibilities in patient care, teaching, and scholarly activity. Candidates will join a multidisciplinary team specializing in melanoma and skin cancer, collaborating closely with experts in oncology, surgery, pathology, and basic science.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding clinical care focused on the diagnosis and treatment of pigmented lesions, atypical nevi, and melanoma.
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary melanoma and high-risk skin cancer clinics.
- Teach and mentor medical students and residents.
- Contribute to departmental and institutional service and leadership activities.
- Pursue academic scholarship

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree.
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Dermatology.
- Fellowship training in Pigmented Lesions, Dermato-oncology, or related fields preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated clinical expertise in the management of pigmented lesions, atypical nevi, and melanoma.
- Strong commitment to patient care, teaching, and academic scholarship.
- Eligibility for medical licensure in Tennessee
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with dermoscopy, confocal microscopy, or other non-invasive imaging techniques.
- Record of peer-reviewed research or scholarly productivity in dermatology or melanoma.
