Description
Maryland Wellness is seeking a compassionate CPRP or licensed (full or provisional) therapist to serve as a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Specialist (RS) in Lanham or Waldorf, MD! In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and providing support to counselors in the organization’s Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP). This individual will ensure that assigned PRP counselors are upholding all governmental and accreditation procedures in documentation and client care. The Rehabilitation Specialist will direct the organization's overall rehabilitation program for all clients on their caseload and will ensure COMAR regulations are followed. While there is some occasional room for flexibility, this position is hybrid and therefore intended to have a physical presence at least 3 days each week within our Lanham or Waldorf office locations.

Requirements
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervises and supports assigned PRP Counselors with addressing client needs and accomplishing client goals.
- Meets with PRP Counselor regularly for an hour supervision to discuss caseload and ensure program standards are being met.
- Monitors PRP Counselor caseloads so that appropriate client interventions align to the client treatment plan and client goals for the program.
- Approves PRP documentation, ensuring that all internal and external standards are being met.
- Provides feedback for documentation, addressing any issues or areas of concern (ex. timeliness of progress notes, upcoming expiration of authorizations, gaps in ROIs, inaccurate invoicing for billing).
- Problem-solves barriers for submitting accurate and timely documentation, achieving maximum monthly client visits, and other challenges preventing completion of PRP Counselor’s assigned duties and responsibilities.
- Assists with any clinical issues that may arise and advises accordingly.
- Provides oversight for the daily program of rehabilitation services to ensure quality of care.
- Assists with developing and implementing additional programs to foster growth and quality service to clients, families, and community.
- Participate in performance evaluations for direct care staff.
- Assists with obtaining and sharing resources for clients and staff to use.
- Perform/participate in any other needs of the program that is within the scope of the Rehabilitation Specialist.

Required Experience, Education, & Certification/Licensure:
- Possession of a Master's Degree in Social Work, Professional Counseling, Addictions, or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience with a diverse and/or underserved population in the field of mental health.
- Holds a license to supervise PRP Counselors in the state of Maryland by meeting at least one of the following criteria:
- LGPC, LCPC, LMSW, LGSW, LCSW, LCSW-C, LGMFT, LCMFT, LGADC, LCADC, LGPAT, LCPAT; or Rehabilitation Counselor who is currently certified by the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification; or Bachelor's prepared certified psychiatric rehabilitation practitioner (CPRP) currently certified by the U.S. Psychiatri
