iDE is an international nonprofit dedicated to combating poverty in the developing world not through handouts, but by helping rural households access the tools and knowledge they need to increase their income and improve their health and well-being. iDE has 40 years of experience and programs in 11 countries in Africa, South Asia, South East Asia, and Central America.

SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced IT professional who can perform both business analysis and project management functions for our international non-profit organization. You will be responsible for understanding the needs and requirements of our stakeholders, developing and managing project plans and deliverables, and ensuring the successful delivery of IT solutions that align with our mission and vision.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with stakeholders across different contexts and locations to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements and processes.
  • Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications that can be used by developers and testers.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and risk registers, and track progress and milestones.
  • Communicate and collaborate with project team members and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, and provide regular status updates and reports.
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues, and implement appropriate mitigation and resolution strategies.
  • Perform quality assurance and user acceptance testing, and ensure that the delivered IT solutions meet the agreed specifications and standards.
  • Provide training and support to end users and stakeholders on the use and maintenance of the IT solutions.
  • Manage iDE software licenses, subscriptions, and related costs. Lead the development and execution of allocating these costs directly to country offices and grant budgets in coordination with the finance team, country team leadership. Ensure the business development team has a list of these costs for inclusion in project budgets.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • As delegated by Senior Director, Information Systems based on needs of the project, portfolio and department.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in IT business analysis and project management, preferably in a non-profit or humanitarian sector.
  • Knowledge and experience in applying various project management and business analysis methodologies and tools, such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, and ability to handle complex and ambiguous situations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively with diverse and remote teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in using various software applications, such as Google Workspace, flowchart tools, Asana, Mural, etc.
  • Fluent in English, and preferably another language relevant to our organization.
  • Willing and able to travel occasionally to different locations as required by the project.
