About the role

Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing department policies, planning, and resolving major service issues. The role involves ensuring efficient provision of rental products to our customers, on schedule and within budget. The Service Director will also be tasked with protecting the company's overall revenue stream in line with the department's goals and objectives. This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse team across multiple locations and to collaborate with other departments to meet customer needs. 

 
 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and implement Service Department policies and plans.
  • Resolve major service problems to ensure efficient provision of rental products to customers.
  • Protect the company's overall revenue stream in accordance with Service Department goals and objectives.
  • Manage, monitor, and control Branch Managers and their teams across multiple locations.
  • Responsible for calculating commissions, base pays, retentions, renewals, and penetration in a timely manner in order to be processed by payroll.
  • Perform regular written performance evaluations of Branch Managers.
  • Enforce the Fleet Safety Program and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Collaborate with sales and production departments in the development of new products and processing procedures.

Requirements

 Education and Experience:
 

College degree is required. (In rare cases, equivalent work-related experience may be submitted.

 

Other Qualifications:

Clean driving record

DOT medical card certifiable 

  • Proven success as a supervisor/manager
  • Cash flow management 
  • Proven experience in a managerial role within a service department.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and policies.
  • Experience in performance evaluation and staff management.
  • Knowledge of safety enforcement and fleet management.
  • Ability to collaborate with other departments to meet customer needs.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 75lbs. Stand and walk frequently throughout the day, continuous use of hands and arms for handling, reaching and moving product and some bending.
