If this aligns with your values and you want to join a leader in the banking industry, we are hiring for a Senior Correspondent Officer that will manage customer and prospective account relationships and develops loans and participations and all other TIB banking services within an assigned territory and/or assigned banks.

MAJOR DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Generates and cultivates new prospects for bank business, to include developing lending relationships and operational relationships with senior management.

• Manages assigned customer related business actions and documents by working interactively with appropriate lending and credit personnel.

• Generates new prospects and develops new business in all TIB services within assigned territory and/or banks.

• Participates in loan committee meetings.

• Presents new and renewal credits to loan committee and directors loan committee.

• Monitors and reports pertinent information on our customer banks and prospects that relates to their overall condition, regulatory enforcements, and management changes.

• Prepares loan applications, negotiates, and structures loan requests within bank policy.

• Analyzes credit data for presentation to loan committee.

• Monitors existing loan portfolio for proper and adequate grading collateral documentation, negative financial trends, and outdated financial information.

• Performs troubleshooting and problem solving services for customers.

• Monitors profitability of customer accounts.

• Makes recommendations, directed to the FFLOC Committee, concerning requests from customer banks and prospects.

• Directs and administers the decisions made by TIB’s FFLOC committee regarding respondent bank credit worthiness to include communicating credit worthiness results, the securing of FFLOC, securing appropriate documentation, implementing new procedures, and responding to initiatives with the primary objective to provide for the safety and soundness of TIB. 

• Complies with all banking laws and regulations, and maintains the confidentiality of bank and customer information. 

REQUIREMENTS/DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Required 

• Bachelor’s degree

• 5 years’ commercial lending experience

• Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work both independently and with product partners. 

• Ability to gain a thorough understanding and promote of all correspondent products and services 

• Ability to evaluate and monitor credit decisions

• Ability to market and sell bank products

• Excellent Customer Service Skills

• Extensive travel required, including some overnight travel 

• Individual should possess good interpersonal skills and be able to work within and foster a team environment

• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and across all levels

• Software: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); Adobe Acrobat; CRM

Preferred

• Bachelor’s degree in finance 

• 8-10 years’ commercial lending experience

• Previous correspondent lending experience
