Description
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented finance professional to join our Corporate Finance team as an Accounting Manager. With 3–4 years of experience, including exposure to public accounting or a similar environment, you’ll play a critical role in managing key financial processes, supporting revenue recognition, and contributing to financial reporting and analysis. Key Responsibilities:
Revenue Recognition & Financial Management
- Manage and support the revenue recognition process in compliance with general accounting standards related to the timing and measurement of revenue from contracts with customers.
- Collaborate with Sales and Operations teams to ensure accurate documentation and timely recording of revenue.
- Help improve billing and invoicing processes, driving efficiencies where possible.
Accounting & Compliance
- Assist in accounting for investments and financial instruments, ensuring compliance with accounting standards for financial reporting on investments and related assets.
- Support the accounting for capitalized software costs, collaborating with IT and development teams for proper capitalization and amortization based on accounting guidelines for intangible assets.
- Aid in lease accounting processes, ensuring compliance with the latest accounting standards for leases, including proper classification and measurement of lease liabilities and assets.
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Contribute to the monthly and quarterly financial close processes, focusing on revenue accounting and variance analysis.
- Prepare financial reports and assist in supporting external audits.
- Help provide insights during flux and variance analysis meetings to support decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3–4 years of relevant experience in finance or accounting, with some exposure to public accounting preferred.
- CPA preferred, but not required.
- Familiarity with general accounting standards for revenue recognition, investment reporting, intangible assets, and leases.
- Strong analytical skills with an ability to think critically and solve problems.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (Sales, Operations, IT).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and experience with financial software or ERP systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely.
- A proactive, self-starter attitude, comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
