Job Overview
Johns Eastern is accepting applications for a full-time Property Damage Field Adjuster Northeastern U.S. area. This is a trainee position. Applicants with 2 to 3 years of experience will be considered. No prior claims experience is required. This position will require travel throughout New England. Training will be provided by Johns Eastern. Interested candidates need to have a Bachelor’s degree or a construction trade experience.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Conduct administrative functions including hiring, performance reviews, budget, training, staffing and productivity.
- Manage the technical aspects of claims adjusted in his/her branch.
- Perform initial review of Loss Notice for coverage or liability issues along with recovery potential.
- Process invoice queries from clients.
- Manage, direct, and develop all branch personnel as required to include.
- Oversee investigations.
- Review diary on a regular basis.
- Review Medicare status information for MSA referrals and/or check authority.
- Operate branch office at approved budget levels; produce the branch budget annually.
- Attend client meetings and perform marketing calls.
- Conduct audits of staff at least quarterly.
- Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Field Operations and/or Executive Vice President.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or a construction trade experience
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to work independently and deal effectively with multiple tasks
- Great analytical skills
- Excellent communication/customer service skills, both verbal and written
- Commitment to continuing education through The Institutes
- Convey a positive attitude and team work for optimum provision of services to clients
- Computer literacy, including MS Office, Word and Excel
