The Pratt & Whitney Columbus Engine Center has an immediate opening for an Operations Supervisor. The principal duty of this position is to provide supervision, leadership, and support to the business, ensuring smooth and efficient operations for jet engine disassembly, clean, and inspection processes.  The person in this role will continually search for opportunities to enhance the production processes and the product using a variety of problem-solving techniques, effective interpersonal and communication skills, along with technical competency.   A successful Supervisor will motivate, coach, and encourage employees to optimize career development and personal satisfaction.  

What You Will Do:

  • Support and meet business metrics goals as defined for each cell (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost). Manage Capital and Expense Budgets for assigned cell. Meet production and delivery schedules, plan and execute contingency plans.

  • Lead process improvement opportunities using continuous improvement to enhance quality, decrease process cycle time and reduce operational costs.

  • Implement root-cause corrective actions in a timely manner to ensure quality standards are upheld and maintained.

  • Manage all aspects of assigned hourly workforce: (Time & attendance, time off, rewards, vouchering, training, communications, etc.) Conduct performance and skill review processes for Operations Technicians, Powerplant Mechanics, Inspectors, and Ops Techs. Administer policies and procedures to ensure compliance.

  • Demonstrates commitment to the EH&S program by complying with all policies and procedures, completing all required training, and supporting all applicable committee activities.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • A University Degree and 5 years or experience including general supervisor experience, management and manufacturing or An Advanced Degree and 3 years experience as listed above, or;
    An Associates degree and 7 years of experience as listed above; or a High School diploma/GED and 9 years of experience as listed above

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Aerospace MRO experience

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
