Hajimari Intern, Packaging Engineer - NARS

We are seeking enthusiastic interns for the Shiseido Hajimari Summer Internship program, a paid, full-time, 9-week experience from June 2nd to August 1st. Based in our New Jersey and New York offices, this program offers hands-on exposure to the full product life-cycle, from Marketing to Manufacturing, along with impactful projects, networking opportunities, and professional development workshops. About our NARS Packaging Engineering Team:

The Package Engineering department supports the packaging development for all new product launches and product line maintenance across multiple brands. The Packaging Engineer intern will be part of the launch team to lead the Packaging efforts and ensure all the technical aspects from drawing approval, package testing, line trials, artwork validation and Packaging data creation are conformed to Shiseido Quality process.

 

Responsibilities:

•        Project Management
  • Ability to handle multi-task launch projects with limited supervision and support
  • Meet timeline due dates for all required Packaging actions
• Packaging Specifications
  • Create and/or revise new component specifications to suppliers (primary, secondary, and tertiary)
  • Identify the relevant test methods (components & finished goods) and conduct Packaging lab testing, data validations and reporting
  • Issue FG specification updates to reflect palletization

Requirements:

• Must be a rising Junior or Senior in college working towards a bachelor’s degree, preferably in Packaging Engineering
• Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and highly organized 
• Energetic, self-motivated, results oriented 
• Flexible and able to function in a fast-paced, safety-first work environment 
• Have a passion for cosmetics, beauty industry and consistently keeping up-to-date with trends
