We are currently seeking a Production Manager for our Physical Analytics department at our site in Charleston, TN.
What you will do:
This position will manage the Physical Analytics operating facility and laboratory. This is a PSM covered 24/7 shift operation, producing quality data for the site operations. The production manager supports the safe operation of the shift personnel and helps maintain quality test results for the site's polysilicon production.
- Management of shift personnel and supporting the day to day operations
- Working with customers to align test requests and to review test results
- Supporting planning/unplanned maintenance activities
- Optimizing shift operations and supporting process improvement projects
- Ordering needed supplies, coordinating with vendors, procurement, accounts payable, etc.
- Aligning lab operations with sister sites
- Maintaining SOPs and training documentation
- SharePoint management and document retention
- Training Coordination for P-I group
- Supporting the continued safe operation of the other labs and building functions
- Other duties as needed
What we need from you:
- Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in a technical field
- 5+ years relevant experience, 3+ years supervisory experience
- Strong leadership, communication skills, and a good team player
- Knowledge and experience with a 24/7 operation, and/or a quality lab or pilot plant
- Organized individual who can maintain 5S system in place, lab supplies in stock, and documentation organized and up to date
- Skilled at troubleshooting team or operational deficiencies and implementing corrective actions
- Quality minded and able to analyze data, use math, trends, statistics to determine quality upsets and root causes
- Strong interpersonal skills and strong understanding of how to work with people
- Proficient with MS Office, SAP, SharePoint
- Able to participate in on-call rotation
- Able to take on training coordination for Analytics group
- Able to support the continued safe operation of the other labs and building functions
