Position Summary

DroneUp is growing and we’re seeking an experienced Scrum Master to join our team supporting Technology Leagues in their Agile growth and maturity. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge and understanding of Agile methodologies and experience as an Agile Coach. The Scrum Master role is intended to ensure teams are following the scrum framework, and assist the team to enhance and streamline processes to achieve their goals. This highly-collaborative role will need to work closely with Product Management in order to deliver quality solutions through greater self-management.

Responsibilities

• Scrum Events - Organize and facilitate team stand-ups, sprint planning and estimation, retrospectives, and demos
• Responsible for capacity planning for each sprint, and ensuring resource allocation is right-sized
• Foster Communication - cultivate teamwork and break down silos
• Cultivate an Agile mindset in all team members where problems are embraced as welcome opportunities to adapt
• Responsible for JIRA scrum board administration 
• Enforce Jira best practices according to DroneUp SOPs
• Coordinate with other agile teams to ensure alignment and management of dependencies
• Reporting - Create and monitor dashboards to measure and drive improvement to team performance 
• Prepare and present health checks to stakeholders
• Proactively utilize burndown charts, storypoint allocation metrics and other sprint metrics to anticipate issues and ensure sprint work is proceeding efficiently
• Agile Coaching - coach and mentor team members in agile and scrum principles, helping them continually improve to achieve higher levels of scrum maturity
• Hold team members accountable for following proper Agile practices
• Diagnose process issues and assist team in process improvement
• Remove blockers - aid the team by eliminating external blockers and managing internal roadblocks through process or workflow improvements
• Quickly identify delivery risks, surface them to the team, and track through resolution
• Protect the team from outside disruptions
• Collaborate with Product Managers and League Leaders to ensure scrum team is working effectively and meeting product goals
• Aptitude for working in a fast-paced, highly variable environment
• Other duties as assigned 

Requirements

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) required.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business, or equivalent years of professional experience.  Experience in UAS, or Aviation is a plus.
• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience as a Scrum Master with a prove
