Position: Senior Information Technology Solutions Architect

Location: Herndon, VA, USA, OR Remote, USA

Role Overview:

The Infrastructure Solution Architect, will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing our technological infrastructure. This individual will provide technical leadership and is responsible for establishing the direction for the IT architecture, standards, design, and implementation approaches for the company’s application systems and/or infrastructure. Responsible for developing and assessing high-impact IT solutions, considering long-term effectiveness, practicality, and technical constraints.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and execution of strategic plans for the company's IT infrastructure, leveraging a lean team of technical experts, augmented by world-class Managed Service Providers (MSPs).

• Review, audit, design, implement, and maintain all network and server systems.

• Manage and optimize cloud-based solutions and on-premises infrastructure.

• Ensure the security and compliance of all IT systems, implementing robust measures to safeguard data and networks.

• Ensure protocols are in place for business continuity, to minimize disruptions during emergencies, and prevent data loss incidents.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address infrastructure needs.

• Evaluate emerging technologies and make recommendations for adoption to enhance efficiency and innovation.

• Monitor IT performance metrics, identify areas of improvement, and initiate corrective measures.

• Convey complex and technical issues to diverse audiences, orally and in writing, in a manner that is easily understood, authoritative, and actionable.

• Ability to lead technical teams and mentor junior level resources to transform and improve organizational practices.

• Effectively architect solutions within a diverse technical group consisting of Everfox internal teams, system integrators, and contractors.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or equivalent.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level IT infrastructure role, preferably within the high-tech and/or government industry.

• Experience with NIST 800-171 and CMMC compliance requirements

• Proven expertise in managing complex IT infrastructure environments.

• Experience delivering end-to-end solutions.

• Strong understanding of cloud-based solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments.

• Experience working with Managed Services Providers (MSPs)

• Experience in integrating applications using Entra ID, Okta, or similar SSO/MFA solutions.

• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards.

• Excellent technical mentor skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a technical team.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments and with external partners.

• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCNP, ITIL) are a plus.
