If you have experience as a high-pressure boiler operator, and building systems and equipment, this job could be for you. As the Boiler Operator you will perform diversified duties to monitor the safe operation of the high pressure steam boilers, chillers, and purified water system.
We’re working 5-days per week onsite as part of our commitment to fostering a culture of professional growth and cross-functional collaboration as we work together to engineer the extraordinary.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Follow all guidelines for logbooks compliance to boiler regulations N.J.A.C 12:90
- Responsible for the safe operation of the high-pressure steam boilers.
- Routinely monitors equipment in the boiler mechanical room to detect malfunctions and report to management.
- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Replace gauges valves, pressure regulators, and other small parts as needed.
- Perform purified water system daily checklist and document readings as per procedure.
- Perform daily water tests and add chemicals as needed to maintain good water treatment.
- Perform routine inspections of all equipment including chillers, boilers, water system, and related equipment.
- Must be flexible to work all shifts, holidays, and weekends as needed, and will be required to fill in for vacation, illness, etc.
- Comply with the company’s safety guidelines and policies.
- Wear adequate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) for each job task.
- Complete work orders as assigned.
- Follow company’s good documentation practices.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned per business needs.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience
- Black Seal High Pressure Boiler Operator License
Nice to Have
- 1+ years of direct experience supporting Medtronic Neuroscience manufacturing operations
- Positive attitude with the willingness to learn beyond the boiler operator role.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast paced environment
- Team dynamic skills (communication, accountability, decision making, feedback, meeting management, conflict management)
- Computer skills
