We are actively looking for an inspector to join our growing Utilities team. The QA/QC Inspector will perform construction and post-construction inspections as defined in terms of the contract for Electric overhead & underground power distribution construction jobs.

We are actively looking for an inspector to join our growing Utilities team. The QA/QC Inspector will perform construction and post-construction inspections as defined in terms of the contract for Electric overhead & underground power distribution construction jobs.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Inspect and document Safety, Quality, and Performance for the construction phase and post-construction installation work in the field
- Provide daily inspection reports in Quality software on a tablet or laptop to measure jobs during construction or post-construction to ensure the installation complies with construction standards for Electric overhead & underground, T&S, and Gas jobs
- Review and understand the existing quality checklist(s) for Electric Distribution Underground inspections
- Review and reference design standards as needed
- Review Drawings, Specifications, and Procedures
- Review Material condition of pre and post construction of equipment in the field against Design Standards
- Oversee and participate in Contractor daily Safety Briefings when applicable
- Communicate any immediate Safety concerns to Contractor and document on a daily Safety Brief
- Obtain and submit digital pictures as required for field inspections
- Review and complete the electronic quality checklist(s) for Electric Distribution Overhead inspections
- Develop a working knowledge of Procedures of Distribution standards as well as related Governmental Guidelines and Regulations (Regional and National) as applicable to the work being inspected.
- Provide recommendations on any Electric Overhead and/or Underground standards that may need to be updated or reviewed to align with quality audit checklists
Experience:
- Must have a minimum 10 years of overhead & underground power distribution construction experience
- Knowledge of design & construction standards for electric and gas utilities as applicable to the work being inspected. Knowledge of Governmental Construction Guidelines and Regulations is preferred.
- Individuals shall have demonstrated skill in construction management.
- High level of knowledge about transmission rebuilds and substation installation.
- Applicants must be able to coordinate work scope with multiple work groups or contractors.
- Applicants must possess a deep knowledge of OSHA safety policies.
- Successful applicants must be willing to participate in training as needed
- Applicants must understand Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedure
- Experience using Tablet or Laptop and Windows operating system in the field to conduct construction inspections (preferred)
Technical Skills:
- Proficient user of Word, Excel, Access, MS Teams, and Outlook. Ability to filter data, search sheets, and input formulas to create working sheets.

- Ability to work in a team environment with good listening and communications skills
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
- Superior time management skills; must be able to meet strict deadlines

Physical Requirements:
- All inspections will be in the field and will require the inspector to drive from site to site to complete their inspections. Multiple sites may be required to be visited on a daily basis.
