What We Do

The Project Director oversees one complex or multiple projects on an ongoing and regular basis. Individually, or as part of a team, responsible for project planning and statusing, risk management, and issue resolution. Duties may include assembling project team, assigning individual responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources needed, developing schedules to ensure timely completion of project, communicating project status and issues to team and management, acting to reduce risk and resolve issues. Coordinates with other projects and work groups.

What You'll Do

  • Responsible for directing all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact for large scale complex projects.
  • Develops and directs the planning, control resources, procedures, and timing of assigned projects.
  • Develops project deliverables including project plans, schedules, and status reports.
  • Provides solutions and identifies appropriate resources needed and manages schedules to ensure timely completion of project.
  • Takes projects from original concept through final implementation. 
  • Develops and implements project plans specifying goals, strategy, and staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, budgets, and allocation of available resources.
  • Conducts risk monitoring and controls during a project's duration to ensure ability to achieve expected outcomes, on time and on budget.
  • Works closely with the end users, business technologies, and others to understand and prioritize business goals and information needs related to the project.
  • Ensures operational and financial controls are not adversely affected by project activities and deliverables.
  • Integrates vendor tasks and manages vendor deliverables as needed to ensure project success.
  • Organizes project teams and assigns individual responsibilities.
  • Recommends and drives the analysis and solutions of complex problems.
  • Determines, oversees, and plans budgets.
  • Identifies and resolves issues to completing projects on time and within budget.
  • Identifies and addresses future concepts and implements best practices.
  • May be required to perform duties outside of normal work hours based on business needs.


What You'll Bring

  • Conceptual understanding and expert knowledge of project management best practices and current technologies to plan and communicate effectively with project team and sponsors
  • Experience with project management methodologies and techniques, and their application in business and technical environments
  • Experience with applicable business process sufficient to communicate and consult with team members, customers and management
  • Extensive experience with planning, directing, and administering projects in a business and/or technology environment
  • Experience with risk management
  • Experience with managing multiple projects or large project with complex inter-dependencies
  • Experience with developing and managing complex project budgets
  • Strong knowledge of communication, statusing, and Project Management tools to create project documents and reports


Typical Education

  • Generally requires BS Degree in a business field or equivalent work experience
  • May require advanced degree


Typical Range of Experience

  • Typically have 10+ years of directly related experience


License or Certification

  • PMP Desirable
  • CSM (Certified Scrum Master) Preferred
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Certification preferred

Pay Range: $148,600.00 - $198,200.00 Annually
