Summary of Duties and Responsibilities:
The Kozminsky Lab develops and applies technology to create in vitro models of physiological microenvironments. Grounded in a high-throughput DNA-directed patterning technique, we are able to recapitulate cellular spatial arrangement at high throughput and high resolution. Our current lines of investigation involve the bone marrow microenvironment as the site of the hematopoietic stem cell niche and for metastatic cancer. The postdoctoral fellow will develop assays to validate these in vitro models and to use them to study open questions in biomedical research.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
- PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience conducting research in mammalian cell culture, molecular and cellular biology assays, and microscopy
- Experience in DNA and/or RNA sequencing, immunostaining, fluorescence in situ hybridization, animal work
- Experience in protocol and manuscript development and in grant writing
- Experience mentoring graduate and undergraduate students
- Microfabrication experience
