Cost Accounting Manager

Lasko Products, an industry leader of home environment products for over 100 years, is seeking a Cost Accounting Manager. This role can work from for our West Chester, PA headquarters, Ft. Worth, TX or Frankin, TN manufacturing facility. This position will report to the Controller,and be responsible for all Cost Accounting processes and procedures. 

Key areas of responsibility will include:

• Teaming:
  • Two supporting staff accountants have dotted line reporting into this role
  • Must be collaborative and work very closely with the Plant Controllers
  • Share, review and explain all cost accounting items below with Auditors
• Cost Accounting and Reporting:
  • Balance sheet oversight and ownership:
    • Inventory costing and related revaluation
    • Variance capitalization accounting
    • Reconciliation of all inventory accounts
    • E&O/SMI reconciliation and reporting
  • P&L oversight and ownership:
    • PPV (must team with Procurement and AP on reporting and analysis)
    • Freight, duty, tariff accounting
  • Full responsibility over maintenance and integrity of master data associated with BOMs, Standard Costs and Inventory Valuation
• Develop, improve and implement process and controls for:
  • All areas above
  • Lead the annual and periodic standard cost updates
  • All cost accounting master data including BOMs, routings, and standard costs, including clean organization and maintenance of all data

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications needed in addition to the topics above:

• 8+ years of cost accounting experience with consistent career progression
• Must have a proactive and solid follow up approach
• Experience documenting process and controls
• Strong MS Office skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 3-5 years of experience working in management
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
• CPA (preferred)
• Consumer Products manufacturing (preferred)
• QAD ERP experience (preferred)
