This position is located at Children’s Wellness Center in Del Valle, TX. This is a full-time position funded by a grant until 6/30/2026, with the possibility of continuation contingent on available funding and project completion. This position will report directly to the Wellness Center leadership team and will work closely with the financial and procurement department, partner organization, contractors and vendors.

Purpose

Children’s Wellness Center is seeking a skilled, organized and detail-oriented project coordinator to support the construction of a modular building for a new clinical site in Del Valle, TX. The ideal candidate will have experience in modular building construction, with the ability to manage and coordinate the project from concept to completion. The Project Coordinator will collaborate with internal cross-functional teams, as well as external vendors and partners to support the timely delivery of the project.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the purchasing process of the modular building.

  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, stakeholders and partners to ensure project objectives are met.

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and quality control standards.

  • Coordinate, research and schedule contractors, vendors and trades (plumbers, electricians, painters, etc.) including services for site preparation, building setup, interior build-out, and arrangement of furniture, fixtures and equipment.  

  • Coordinate project efforts, material procurement, services and logistics ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality.

  • Manage on-site construction activities, monitor progress, ensure compliance with safety regulations, address and resolve any on-site issues or delays, making real-time decisions to keep the project on track.

  • Act as a liaison with vendor to set up delivery date, coordinate logistics, transportation and installation of modular building.

  • Lead project meetings, providing updates, addressing any issues or changes, and ensuring open communication.

  • Accurately document, maintain and manage project documentation and job files.

  • Accurately document orders, POs, and other pertinent project information

  • Liaise with the accounting department submitting accounting documentation, vendor invoices, fleet POs for payment, track expenditures, and ensure financial accountability.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in project coordination within the construction industry, preferably with prefabricated construction methods.

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Proven understanding of modular construction methods, processes, logistics, materials, and regulations.

  • Experience with building codes, compliance requirements, safety regulations and quality control for modular construction standards.

  • Excellent organizational, relationship building, and problem-solving skills with a strong commitment to quality, safety, and sustainability.

  • Strong skills in work-plan development and progress tracking.

  • Effective interpersonal and communication abilities, with the capacity to collaborate and interact with diverse teams.

  • Strong computer literacy.

  • Visual acuity to read blueprints, technical documents, and computer screens.

Driving Required

This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident. Employees who are required to have a CDL are subject to drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, random, return-to-duty, and follow-up drug and alcohol testing).

Salary Range

$75,000 annually
