Responsibilities:

  • Technical management of the Group Accounting & Consolidation division of the EagleBurgmann Group

  • Processing of complex IFRS accounting issues and sparring partner for divisional management and decentralized finance teams in all matters relating to accounting (IFRS), consolidation and Group reporting

  • Independent consolidation of the quarterly and annual financial statements of the EagleBurgmann subsidiaries

  • Preparation of the financial statements and subgroup reporting in accordance with IFRS for the EagleBurgmann subgroup, as well as continuous development of the reporting, consolidation and closing processes

  • Connecting link between the finance teams of our international subsidiaries and the corporate accounting team of the Freudenberg parent company as well as controlling department

  • Collaboration on projects and special topics (e.g. mergers, asset/share deals, carve-outs, initial consolidations and deconsolidations, PPAs, high-inflation accounting, impairment tests) and their independent implementation in the consolidated financial statements

  • Direct and regular contact with the auditors of the EagleBurgmann subgroup, including participation in audit planning

  • Ideally six-month induction in the corporate accounting team of the Freudenberg parent company in Weinheim

Qualifications:

  • Successfully completed studies in economics, business informatics, industrial engineering or training as an bachelor of professional accounting

  • Several years of specialist professional experience in the areas of group accounting, consolidation or related areas, preferably in an international, production-oriented company

  • Expert knowledge of consolidation methods and processes

  • Very good knowledge of consolidation software (preferably Hyperion Financial Management)

  • In-depth knowledge of accounting in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)

  • Structured, solution-oriented and reliable way of working with the ability to analyze complex contexts and prepare them for the target audience

  • Very good knowledge of MS Excel

  • Fluent written and spoken German and English
