We are currently searching for laboratory research personnel to support our federal client in the development, validation, and implementation of analytical methods that identify chemical hazards in human food-regulated products.
.What You Will Do:
- Develop, implement, train, and lead research on the characterization of chemical constituents and identification of potential adulterants, nutrients, or contaminants in regulated products.
- Perform laboratory sample analysis, controls, analyze experimental results, and scientific evaluations following approved safety, quality, and regulatory protocols.
- Ensure proper collection, records, and analysis of data to support planned research, including the operation of laboratory instrumentation and implementation of appropriate quality assurance procedures.
- Participate and/or organize the validation (single laboratory and multi-laboratory) of analytical methods for the determination of adulterants, nutrients, and contaminants in foods and dietary supplements.
- Prepare analysis reports and presentations to support regulatory operation decisions and improvements.
What You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or relevant area of study
- Minimum of ONE (1) year of experience conducting chemical test methods, controls, and scientific instruments
- Experienced in data collection, analysis, and writing scientific and technical reports.
- Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) or International Organization for Standardization (ISO) practices
- Strong oral and written communication skills to engage with stakeholders
- Understanding of regulatory interpretations, targets, project plans, and timelines
What Would Be Nice To Have:
- Master’s degree in chemistry or a relevant area of study
- Experience in performing sample homogenization, digestions, and/or extraction procedures for the analysis of foods and dietary supplements
