Product QC Engineer - Responsible for Production QC programs, including troubleshooting and problem analysis; monitoring in-process testing; design and build of in process test equipment; vendor evaluations; parts evaluations; product training; and maintenance of Product/QC Engineering Department procedure and standard system. The specific duties of the position include: Conduct all necessary tasks required to the products and its testing for new products introduction including component specification, quality control test parameters and liaison activities with design engineers. Create and adhere to plan/schedule for projects involving multiple themes. Evaluate the current equipment used by production and test and when necessary, design and implement improvements and/or introduce new equipment to increase efficiency and productivity. Perform activities related to the design, build, and implementation and troubleshooting of production test equipment. Perform Failure analysis on products returned from the field. Communicate results to customers. Lead product improvement projects, when necessary, based on feedback from the field. Define, establish, and implement procedures related to processes in the engineering function and/or production function. Prepare information for the development of division's operating and capital expense budget, both short-term and long-term needs, and continually monitoring same. Support and assist Repair Department activities as they relate to technical documents and test equipment designs including product training. Investigate and evaluate domestic procured parts and make recommendations, when necessary to the supplier, which will enable usage of their parts. Perform activities related to maintenance or establishment of electrical drawings and schematics including documentation control. Provide customer problems trouble-shooting support and technical support for in-process manufacturing problems. Participate in company-sponsored activities, including suggestion program, quality training, etc. Lead lower-level engineers in areas related to Product/QC engineering.
