About the role
Description
TSI is seeking an experienced warehouse professional to manage inventory and logistics operations. Ensure efficient logistics operations as a Warehouse Specialist. With a high school diploma or GED and two years of warehouse experience, you'll manage electronic equipment inventory, staging, packing, storage, and shipping. Your proficiency with inventory systems and material handling equipment will be essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform inventory management tasks, including counting, updating, and reconciling stock levels.
- Stage materials and equipment for shipping or internal distribution.
- Pack electronic equipment and related materials according to proper handling procedures.
- Manage storage of various items, ensuring proper organization and accessibility.
- Prepare and process shipments of electronic equipment and materials.
- Operate motor vehicles for transportation of goods within the facility or to external locations.
- Utilize material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
- Use computer-based inventory systems for data entry, item identification, and tracking.
- Implement and maintain a barcode system for efficient inventory management.
- Receive incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect received materials for damage and report discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures in all warehouse operations.
- Assist in conducting regular cycle counts and annual inventories.
- Collaborate with other departments to fulfill orders and manage stock levels.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation for all warehouse activities.
- Assist in implementing process improvements for warehouse efficiency.
- Participate in the disposal or return of obsolete or damaged inventory.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding warehouse operations.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management practices.
- Familiarity with electronic equipment handling and storage requirements.
- Proficiency in operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate motor vehicles safely.
- Experience with computer-based inventory management systems.
- Understanding of barcode technology and its application in inventory tracking.
- Attention to detail in inventory counting and record-keeping.
- Basic math skills for inventory calculations and reconciliations.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely.
- Good organizational skills to maintain an orderly warehouse.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation.
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures.
- Understanding of proper packing techniques for electronic equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret packing slips, purchase orders, and inventory reports.
- Knowledge of basic safety procedures in a warehouse environment.
- Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and other departments.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new warehouse technologies and processes.
- Basic problem-solving skills for addressing inventory discrepancies and storage issues.

Education Requirements:

Experience Requirements:
- Two (2) years of warehouse experience, including performing inventory, staging, packing, storage, and shipping of electronic equipment and related material; operating motor vehicles and material handling equipment; and utilizing a computer-based inventory and barcoding system for entering, identifying, and tracking material.
