Analyst, Data Science

The Data Science organization leverages predictive analytics and data science techniques to support Strive Health's intervention programs. We build models and algorithms to help make informed decisions, enhance the quality of care, reduce costs, and ultimately improve the lives of patients with kidney disease. We aim to identify, prioritize, and implement on initiatives that will impact the right patient at the right time and improve health outcomes.

We are looking for a Data Science Analyst to collect, clean, analyze, and model healthcare data to provide insights to our clinical and operational teams. As someone with a solid background in statistics, computer science and mathematics, you will collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to organize and create accurate and high-quality data required for data science models and analysis independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to join and extract data from multiple sources and create data tables for Data Science initiatives.
  • Use problem solving ability to identify areas of improvement through data exploration and model performance monitoring.
  • Optimize current Data Science models to make it scalable and easily configurable for other projects or models.
  • Ability to drive a defined project forward as an individual and collaboratively with other team members; effectively communicate findings to key stakeholders.
  • Be curious and agile – high aptitude for changes in business direction and able to navigate with changing priorities.
  • Collaborate with dynamic team of data scientists, analysts, and engineers to analyze and model healthcare data to provide actionable insight for clinical operations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Statistics, Mathematics, or quantitative field. Master’s or PhD degree are preferred.
  • 2+ years experience working in Python or R
  • 1+ year experience in databases and related languages (e.g., SQL) for complex queries
  • 1+ year experience with unsupervised and supervised learning methods including (but not limited to) clustering, logistic regression, and decision tree-based ML models

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ year experience at a healthcare or wellness organization
  • 1+ deep learning framework (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras)
