About the role

Senior Associates support the delivery of complex client engagements by combining exceptional writing, analytical rigor, and sound judgement and problem-solving skills to develop client-specific communications, strategic recommendations, and stakeholder engagement materials. They take on increasing client-facing responsibilities, build trusted working relationships, and contribute to strategy development through informed recommendations. Senior Associates proactively identify risks and opportunities, collaborate effectively across teams, and support firm initiatives while helping to foster a culture of collaboration and excellence.

The ideal candidate is an intellectually curious and proactive problem-solver with outstanding writing and information presentation skills, strong interpersonal skills and an instinct for how audiences will receive a message. The candidate should have ambition to grow into a strategic advisory and leadership role within a growing organization.

Location

New York, NY or Washington, DC (hybrid, with a minimum of 3 days in-office).

Responsibilities

  • Works collaboratively with project teams on complex engagements
  • Produces high-quality, client-specific content that supports strategy
  • Plays a leading role in developing communications deliverables for key audiences
  • Synthesizes complex political, regulatory, commercial, and reputational developments into actionable insights and drafts recommendations for clients
  • Applies advanced skills in Office suite and other tools to deliver polished, well-considered communications materials, from strategy presentations, to memos, talking points, key messages, and more
  • Strengthens independent problem-solving and professional judgment
  • Serves in increasingly client-facing roles, building relationships and contributing to client strategy
  • Begins to anticipate client and leader needs, identify risks, and suggest solutions under supervision
  • Actively contributes to firm initiatives and supports team development

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of relevant prior professional experience, ideally in crisis management or crisis communications, from either a consultancy or an in-house role
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent and relevant work experience
  • Highly proficient in PowerPoint and other MS Office tools
  • Excellent presentation, writing, and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a proactive approach to networking and stakeholder engagement
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with creative, solution-oriented, problem-solving skills
