Overview
We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer to support large-scale power infrastructure projects that enable critical data center operations. This role is responsible for leading engineering execution across the full project lifecycle—from concept through detailed design and transition to construction—ensuring delivery aligns with scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Project Engineering & Execution
Lead engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, including conceptual design, engineering planning, detailed design, and construction handoff
Manage external engineering firms to ensure alignment with scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards
Drive the development and review of engineering deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and design packages
Conduct constructability reviews and support smooth transition to construction teams
Project Management & Coordination
Partner closely with Project Managers and Project Controls teams to manage project schedules and budgets
Develop and support capital engineering execution plans aligned to financial targets
Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners
Monitor engineering performance, risks, and progress using project management tools and systems
Technical Leadership & Optimization
Apply industry standards and engineering best practices to define project scope and ensure design integrity
Identify risks early and incorporate mitigation strategies into engineering deliverables
Drive continuous improvement, design optimization, and cost-effective engineering solutions
Promote adoption of tools, technologies, and best practices to enhance engineering outcomes
Leadership & Collaboration
Lead, mentor, and develop junior engineers and project team members
Foster a culture of engineering excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement
Support training and knowledge-sharing across the organization
Build strong partnerships across Engineering, Construction, Operations, and Finance
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (ABET-accredited)
7–9 years of experience in electric utility engineering or operations
1–3 years of experience leading teams, contractors, or projects
Strong knowledge of utility infrastructure, engineering design, and construction practices
Experience with project budgeting, forecasting, and cost management
Familiarity with industry codes, regulations, and safety standards
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and AutoCAD (or equivalent)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Valid driver’s license and ability to pass DOT drug testing
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
10+ years of experience in utility engineering or operations
Professional Engineer (PE) license (or ability to obtain)
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure or data center projects
